Creative solutions during a pandemic with Gary Frost of Frost Creative Limited

Hello, tell us what is your background and what company do you represent?

I'm Managing & Creative Director of Frost Creative, I specialise in branding and have almost 20 years working at various branding and design consultancies across the South East.

How would you describe your company?

We’re a branding consultancy.

What products/services does your company provide?

We work across the full spectrum of creative disciplines that are distilled into the following categories: strategy, branding and creative & digital.

What is the technology/software stack of your company?

We use the full spectrum of technologies and softwares available to us and utilise the most relevant products to suit the project we’re working on, we adopt a very agile approach to suit the needs of our clients and the various projects we undertake.

What marketing strategies have you used in your business?

Due to being a small team our marketing plan is very simplistic due to the resources we have available. We have a plan that we try to stick to and this involves monthly content writing, PPC, quarterly e-marketing campaigns and social media.

What projects have you worked on and what project are you most proud of?

We have the mindset that every project is as important as each other and our methodology is applicable to any business in any sector. This gives us the ability to work with a very broad range of clients.

The projects we’re most proud of are the ones that generate the best results for our clients, often these projects are not what you would class as beautiful creative pieces but pure effective design at its best.

The work we’ve delivered for Smart, a private renting brand and Richard Taunton Sixth Form College generate outstanding results and ROI for our clients.

In your opinion, what are the major trends in advertising today?

Due to this pandemic the main trend at the moment is the emergence of the home made adverts and basic animation. I’m not a fan of whatI’m seeing at the moment, not many brands are standing out and doing things differently at the moment. However one advert I have seen online caught my eye recently was for Bodyform. This was done pre-pandemic but an amazing piece of work.

What's the long-term vision for your company? Any plans or goals for the coming years?

First and foremost it is to survive this pandemic. We should be OK but work is slow at the moment and there’s a lot of unknowns. Everyone is struggling. We’re in a good financial position so once things start to pick up again I hope the business has got a good platform to make progress. We have plans to double in size, with a mixture of clients from start ups to household names and become an agency known and trusted for delivering outstanding work, that delivers real results for our clients with a can do and supportive attitude, everytime.
